Per Daves Geeky Hockey:
As promised elsewhere, behold! A Doctor Claw jersey. The arm stripes represent the MAD doctor’s gloves to a tee. Other than that particular character trait, the rest of the jersey carries the MAD theme. I’d like to think if they started a company team, they would wear these.
Speaking of Inspector Gadget, I discovered something about the show I never noticed before. There is very little onscreen lip-sync used. Besides Dr. Claw’s mouth never needing to be animated, the rest of the characters were often framed so their mouths didn’t have to be animated to a voice-over. Gadget’s mouth was often covered by a piece of paper or his hand. When Penny talked, it was mostly Brain shown as listening (like when he is looking at his video watch). I admire this approach, as it allowed them to focus on the slapstick and body language instead. The animation was very good quality for its time.
Next up is a just-for-fun design that revolves around the Mystery Machine:
When doing a design like this, color sensibilities go out the window, very much like a bride-to-be choosing bridesmaid dresses for her friends. Speaking of weddings I skimped on the floral arrangements here — less is more.
These designs are just for fun, no plans currently to make them available.
